New Chapter in Our Ministry

On the first Sunday in August, New Center Christian Church voted Jonathan in as their new pastor. Jonathan preached at New Center in November, and came back to preach again in January, May and July. The Lord has been preparing us for this change for quite some time and we are excited about what he has in store for us. Although we are excited, it is still hard to say goodbye to our church in Farmer. I have been attending Farmer Baptist Church since I was 8 years old. I grew up at Farmer, met the love of my life at Farmer, got married at Farmer and dedicated my children to the Lord at Farmer. Our life events have been celebrated at Farmer with our extended church family. We have served at Farmer for many years - Jonathan has served as youth pastor and assistant pastor since 1995, I have been a Sunday School teacher and children's church worker since I was teenager. The Lord has blessed us so much there that it is hard to say goodbye, but we must. As we felt the Lord moving us toward a pastorate, I prayed that our new church would be a good place for our children to grow up and that they would have other children to play with. From our first few visits to New Center, Nathan and Reagan fit right in with the many children that come to church here. They made friends so quickly. The Lord is so good to us - he blesses us when we don't deserve it and answers our prayers. I am so thankful for all of His blessings on me and my family. We are looking forward to many wonderful years at New Center Christian Church.
